TG3 - Impact Assessment Methods
The Thematic Group on Impact Assessment Methods will exchange experience with the use of different methods, leading to more reliable methods with higher predictive validity. The Group will draw up a catalogue of assessment methods, for future reference by any interested party.
VTT leds this Thematic Group. Partners involved are BASE and CTAG.
Expected impact The Thematic Group on Impact Assessment Methods will exchange experience with the use of different methods, leading to more reliable methods with higher predictive validity. This will lead to a faster take-up of technologies which contribute most to improvement of road safety, mobility, efficiency and CO2 output. The steps to achieve this will be the support for selection of best methods for each case with a comprehensive method catalogue listing the advantages and disadvantages of different methods as well as the dissemination of the catalogue and related support material. The possible barriers and risk factors include the lack of experiences from the use of some methods and the reluctance of some stakeholders to reveal their experiences with the methods. Progress will be measured by the number of stakeholders engaged in the process, number of workshop participants as well as the deliverables scheduled.
