European Green Cars Initiative

The European Commission has launched the European Green Cars Initiative which provides a financial envelope of € 5 billion to boost the automotive industry in a time of economic hardship, and support the development of new, sustainable forms of transport. The topics of this initiative also includes areas such as trucks, international combustion engines, logistics and co-modality, intelligent transport systems, and of course electric and hybrid vehicles.
