CEDR
The purpose of CEDR (Conference of European Directors of Roads) is to co-operate at European level by facilitating the exchange of experience and information and analysing all road-related issues, especially infrastructure, infrastructure management, traffic and transport, financing, legal and economic problems, safety, environment, and research in all of these areas.

CTAG (Centro Tecnológico de Automoción de Galicia) is a private, non-profit R&D technological automotive center devoted to support the automotive industry in its research, development and innovation needs.

 

DG INFSO, European Commission
The EU's Information Society activities aim at improving quality of life and stimulating growth, competitiveness and jobs across Europe. Activities range from basic and applied research into tomorrow's cutting-edge Information Society technologies to stimulating the take-up of these technologies in different sectors of the economy and across Europe's regions.

 

DG TREN, European Commission
The road safety programme of DG TREN aims to ensure a sharing of responsibilities, and in accordance with the competences of each party involved (EU, Member States, regional and local authorities, industry, transport companies and private users), this programme aims to encourage road users to improve their behaviour, to make vehicles safer, and improve road infrastructure. It provides for the setting up of a European Road Safety Observatory within the Commission. Lastly, it proposes that all the parties concerned, whether public or private, should subscribe to the European Road Safety Charter.

 

ERSO
ERSO (European Road Safety Observatory) is one of the SafetyNet final results. SafetyNet is an integrated project and co-funded by the European Commission within the Sixth Framework Programme (2002 -2006).

 

ERTICO – ITS Europe
ERTICO is a multi-sector, public-private partnership pursuing the development and deployment of ITS.

 

ERTRAC
ERTRAC’s (European Road Transport Research Advisory Council) objective is to help maximise the effectiveness of public and private research into road transport. According to ERTRAC, road transport is a key driver of the European economy: a major contributor to EU employment and the competitiveness of many other industrial sectors, it represents some 11% of total European GDP. As a significant contributor to research in this area, ERTRAC recently announced its strategic research agenda for the next two decades.

 

eSafety Effects Database
The eSafety effects database has been compiled by eSafetySupport in order to maintain the uptodate knowledge of the effects of different eSafety systems or intelligent vehicle safety systems. The database is based on studies, conference papers and articles concerning the effects of eSafety systems, and particularly their safety effects.

 

eSafety Support
eSafety Support actively assists transport stakeholders in their efforts to increase public awareness of the enormous impact intelligent vehicle safety systems, so called eSafety systems, can have on road safety.

European Public Procurement Network

The European Public Procurement Network (PPN) is a co-operation network of public procurement expert officials, dedicated to European companies taking part in procurement procedures in other countries of the network than theirs. It involves all EU Member States, EU candidate countries, EEA Members and Switzerland.

 

 

FIA European Bureau
Provides representation to FIA’s European member Clubs within the European Institutions. The work of the bureau, guided by the Clubs, consists of monitoring the work of the institutions, developing common platforms for the work of the Clubs, developing and maintaining relations with staff in the institutions, and ensuring that FIA’s message is heard in Brussels and Strasbourg. Additionally, the bureau also engages in a number of programmes and projects, such as EuroTest, EuroTAP and eSafety Support which further the interests and goals of FIA’s members.

 

GRSP
The GRSP (Global Road Safety Partnership) brings together governments and governmental agencies, the private sector and civil society organisations to address road safety issues in low and middle income countries. GRSP is a hosted programme of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), based in Geneva. Traditionally, road safety has been seen as an unfortunate consequence of a transport system and as a problem for the transport sector. However, the direct costs of the growing number of crashes falls mostly on the health sector, businesses and families. Today it is widely acknowledged that many sectors have a role to play in road safety, especially in the prevention of crashes, deaths and injuries. GRSP brings together these sectors at the global, national and sometimes local government level. GRSP provides advice on good practice and facilitates projects in a growing number of countries.

 

ICT PSP, European Commission
The ICT Policy Support Programme (or ICT PSP) aims at stimulating innovation and competitiveness through the wider uptake and best use of ICT by citizens, governments and businesses.

Lindholmen Science Park
Lindholmen Science Park is the most dynamic development area in Göteborg. The aim is to create increased innovation, international competitiveness and growth for the entire area.

 

ManagEnergy

ManagEnergy is an initiative of the European Commission Directorate-General for Energy and Transport, which aims to support the work of actors working on energy efficiency and renewable energies at the local and regional level. The main tools are sectoral advice, training, workshops and online events. Additionally information is provided on case studies, good practice, European legislation and programmes.

 

MOVE TOGETHER

Research project financed under the EC's 7th Framework Programme for RTD. Co-organised with the Institute of Studies for the Integration of Systems (ISIS, Italy), it aims to establish a dialogue between citizens from the 27 EU member states representing the different cultures and urban settings of Europe and experienced stakeholders and decision-makers in the urban transport sector.

TNO
The Netherlands Organisation for Applied Scientific Research (TNO) is a non-profit research organisation. Established in 1932, TNO’s public mission is to support industry and society in general in transforming knowledge into products and processes of economic and societal value.

 

University of Cologne, Institute for Transport Economics
Founded in 1921, the Institute is the oldest Institute for Transport Economics in Germany. Its research activities cover all transport modes, both passenger and goods transport.
